We aim to create a home from home experience for your baby, we understand that your child will have their own routine such as sleep pattern, feeds and we make very effort to continue their routine. We follow this to ensure that the transition from home to nursery goes as smoothly as possible.
We work very closely with parents/carers. We welcome you in to breast feed at any time and we provide a hand written daily diary about your child’s day. This explains what your baby has played with, eaten, drunk, sleeps and their nappy changes.
When weaning your child we work in close partnership with you. We can discuss our healthy weaning menu and if this is not quite what you want, we can change it, to meet your needs. We have a healthy menu for your little ones where we have high chairs and small child chairs with safety harnesses for the babies to sit and enjoy their food
Knowing how precious your little ones are, our staff in the baby room are very experienced and highly qualified.
The staff and children use a “Learning Journal” to record and track your child’s learning, This is completed by your child’s Keyworker. We carry out observations and take photos of your child learning. This is also a good way for you to be kept informed about what your child has been doing at nursery.
During the day we offer lots of cuddles, to playing with interactive and sensory toys, heuristic play, looking at books and going for walks or a stroll in the prams up the farm lane or woodland walk.
We have a dedicated sleep area for your child, where each child has a cot including their own sheets and blankets.
We have two baby rooms, one of the rooms is for babies up to a year old and here we can care up to 8 babies and the other room is twelve months up to two years of age and can care up to 12 babies. The staff ratio is one adult to every three children.
Ladybirds has their own shaded playground with a safe spongy surface. We encourage children to go out every day by offering freeflow.
Our qualified and experienced team is always available for a chat at the beginning or end of the day, to share information about your child.
We have an open Breast Feeding parent policy. Please see our Breast Feeding Policy.
