The nursery schools unique location on a farm enables us to offer the children a healthy and safe environment, with outside activities such as picnics, sports day and woodland walks in our adjoining fields. STAFF TRAININGAll our supervisors are professionally trained and regularly update their training to improve their knowledge and qualifications. We train our staff in NVQ’s and Modern Apprenticeships. We maintain high ratios of staff qualified in First Aid and Food Hygiene (Chartered Institute of Environmental Health). OPENING HOURSLodge Farm Nursery School is open from 8am – 6 pm, Monday to Friday, 51 weeks of the year. We offer full time, part-time and term time places for children aged 0 – 8 years. We can offer additional hours and flexible sessions. HOLIDAY PLAYSCHEME.We are registered to accept children up to the age of 8 years during all school holidays. Playscheme places can be booked on a “pay as you go” basis or in advance to ensure availability. HEALTH AND SAFETYHealth and safety is important to us and we make regular health and safety checks to ensure our environment is safe at all times. Our Health and Safety co-ordinator offers on going staff training. WORKING WITH PARENTSWe offer your child a minimum of two free settling in sessions, when parents can stay with their child and talk to staff and key workers. Newsletters, parent’s notice boards and parent’s evenings inform parents of what activities are planned with their children. We are always available to discuss your child’s needs and development. NUTRITION AND MEALTIMESWe provide a healthy balanced diet from our on-site kitchen and cater for all your child’s dietary needs.
